Indio Brasileiro is a specialist in the Internet market, having reached the post of Vice-President of Business-to-Business at StarMedia Network. Indio participated in the birth of the Internet in the Brazilian market when he was Commercial Director of Universo Online (UOL), where he was one of the team of professionals who set up the company and was responsible for publicity, membership and commercial content relations and the setting up of content partnerships. After UOL, Indio was invited to take on the general running of StarMedia in Brazil, in March 1998, and to take charge of the founding of the company in this country. He was then transferred to New York to take on the position of Vice-President Business-to-Business of the StarMedia Network.

Now, besides being partner-director of FirstCom Comunicação, Indio is partner-director of ITC Ventures Inc., technology and Internet projects incubator in Latin America. He is also city leader of First Tuesday, an event which gathers professionals linked with the world of information technology and business; guest professor of the Uninove MBA in Technology Management and collaborator in some media such as the B2B Magazine. Indio was also the founder and market relations director at AMI (Interactive Media Association) and at Abranet-SP.

With experience in the areas of marketing, product development, publicity and sales, Indio was also responsible for business management at Agências Folha de Notícias and Folha Imagem, working for nine years at the Folha Group. He also previously worked for six years in the Marketing Department at Banco Bradesco, was vice-director of Marketing at ABRANET / SP (an association of service providers) and Product Manager at Curt S.A.
